Just 40 minutes from Skyway Camping Resort is an amazing amphitheater, performing arts center and museum, Bethel Woods Center for the Arts (BWCA)

Top Late August Events At BWCA

There are several daily events at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts and attractions featured in the museum. There is something for everyone, young and old. Here are some of the bigger events coming to BWCA this August.

August 18th is the Sesame Street Live! C Is For Celebration show. Make your children’s dreams come alive! Your kids can sing and dance with Elmo, Cookie Monster, and Rosita. There are two separate times for the show. The first show kicks off at 12:00 p.m., following the second show starting at 4:00 p.m. This is the perfect show for families or those looking to entertain their young ones!

August 22 through the 23rd is the “Slow Food Italian Style” show.  The popular foodie show features tastings and samples from top chefs and wines. If you join this festival, prepare to come hungry!. You will sample unlimited amounts of Italian cheese, oil, and wine. You will also leave here educated. Visitors will gain tips and tricks on traditional Italian cooking from demonstrations, but only from the best. Enjoy learning from well-known Italian chefs as they serve up their traditional plates helping you understand and learn the cultures special importance of food. This is the perfect foodie event, or anyone looking to improve their cooking skills.

August 24th is the 311 & The Offspring with Special Guests Gym Class Heros show.  This is a special and well-thought-out show that intertwines three genres of music. The series combines a mix of rock, reggae and pop music. The show starts off with a mellow reggae sound, jumping into alternative rock with The Offspring, who has performed over 1100 shows across the globe. You will end the show with Gym Class Heros, who are have established themselves as one of the most exciting bands in pop music. This is the perfect show for anyone who is looking to have a good time and is open to carefree music and an open mind.
